Using a Flexible Measuring Tape

Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the finger where you plan to wear the ring. The tape should sit comfortably against the skin, snug but not tight. Note the measurement where the tape meets the zero mark. Compare this measurement with the ring size chart to determine your size.

Using a Piece of String

Wrap a piece of string around the finger where the ring will sit. Make sure it fits comfortably and is not pulled tight. Mark the point where the two ends of the string meet. Lay the string flat and measure the length from the end to the mark using a scale in inches or millimeters. Use this measurement to find your size on the ring size chart.

Using an Existing Ring

Select a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably. Place the ring on a flat surface and measure the inside diameter, from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge, using a scale. Record the measurement in millimeters (mm). Then compare this diameter with the ring size chart to find the closest matching size.

Using a Ring Sizer

A ring sizer is the most accurate way to measure your finger at home. Simply try each ring until you find the one that slides over your finger comfortably and sits securely at the base without feeling tight. The number marked on that ring indicates your size.
